Tom Foster is a hand-turning artist based in Vermont. The material he uses is a laminate created by peeling 1/16 inch thin veneers from an infinitely renewable resource, New England rock maple logs. The veneers are then dyed and assembled into a sandwich containing more than forty individually colored layers.
